Who operates this site
Press This Next is the operating name of this independently operated website, not a separately registered company. The site is operated from the Dominican Republic. Privacy questions may be sent through the contact page or to contact@pressthisnext.com.
Information handled
Server and security logs
When a page is requested, the server records standard technical data such as IP address, date and time, requested address, response status, amount of data sent, referring page when supplied, and browser or user-agent. Error and security logs may record related technical details. These records are used to deliver and troubleshoot the site, maintain reliability, and detect abuse.
Local audience statistics
Press This Next uses Burst Statistics to measure page views, sessions, approximate visitor counts, referring pages, broad browser and device categories, approximate country, region and city, terms entered into the site’s search box and the number of results shown, and clicks on links leading to other websites. Measurement requests and IP-to-location lookups are processed on this server, and the resulting statistics are stored in the site’s local database. Burst uses a first-party cookie named burst_uid, containing a randomly generated anonymous identifier, to distinguish returning visits. The cookie is normally retained for up to 30 days and is not used to follow visitors across other websites. Burst does not use browser fingerprinting in this mode. Raw IP addresses and full user-agent strings are not stored in the analytics tables. Location is estimated locally from the IP address using a downloaded GeoIP database; the lookup does not send the visitor’s IP address to Burst or MaxMind. Press This Next has not opted to share anonymous usage data with Burst and does not send these audience statistics to Google Analytics or another external audience-analytics service.
Search performance data
Press This Next connects Burst Statistics to Google Search Console with read-only access to retrieve the matching site’s search queries and aggregate clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted on this server, and the retrieved performance data is stored locally. The authorization flow uses a stateless relay operated by Burst Statistics B.V.; the relay does not retain the tokens or Search Console data. This connection cannot change Search Console settings or access other Google services.
Advertising services
Press This Next intends to use Google AdSense. Advertising is not currently displayed. If AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may receive or use the visitor’s IP address, browser and device information, requested page and referring page, approximate location, and information about ad impressions or interactions. They may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to deliver, limit, secure, and measure ads and, where permitted and consented to, personalize ads based on visits to this and other websites.
Messages you choose to send
If you use the contact form, it processes your name, email address, selected reason, optional page URL, message, and consent choice. The message is sent securely to Press This Next. To limit automated abuse, the form temporarily stores a pseudonymous keyed hash derived from the submitting IP address and an attempt count; it does not add the IP address to the message.
If you email the contact address directly, the message may include your email address, displayed name, content, attachments, and email metadata. Contact information is used only to review and respond to corrections, accessibility feedback, privacy requests, explanation ideas, and other inquiries.
Administrator data
Public registration and comments are disabled. Account and security information is stored for authorized administrators.
Cookies and similar technologies
Ordinary reading pages may set a first-party analytics cookie named burst_uid. It contains a randomly generated anonymous identifier, is used only to distinguish returning visits, and is normally retained for up to 30 days. It does not contain a name or email address and is not used to follow visitors across other websites. Burst does not use browser fingerprinting in this mode. If advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may place or read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses, and similar technologies as described above. The site does not use affiliate-tracking scripts or public-comment cookies.
The reading toolbar may save text-size and high-contrast choices in local browser storage. Those values remain on the visitor’s device and are not sent to Press This Next as analytics.
The login area sets a temporary cookie to test whether cookies work. Authorized administrators receive strictly necessary authentication, preference, and two-factor security cookies. Site fonts and editorial assets are served locally.
Service providers and external links
Hostinger provides server infrastructure, domain, email, and backup services. Monarx provides server malware scanning and security protection. Burst Statistics B.V. provides the audience-statistics software and the stateless Search Console authorization relay. Google provides the read-only Search Console service and, if enabled, Google AdSense advertising and consent-management services. These providers may process technical, message, file, authorization, advertising, or security-event data as needed to provide their services. Links to other websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy practices.
Press This Next does not sell personal information. If Google AdSense is enabled, information may be disclosed to Google and participating advertising vendors for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and personalization as described in this notice, subject to applicable consent and privacy choices.
Advertising and consent choices
Before Google advertising is enabled, Press This Next will configure a Google-certified consent-management platform for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Where required, visitors will be able to accept, reject, manage, and later withdraw consent for advertising purposes. Applicable privacy choices for U.S. states will also be provided when advertising begins.
You can manage ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. The consent message shown when advertising is enabled will identify participating advertising vendors and provide their available controls.
Retention
Access and site error logs are ordinarily deleted through daily rotation after approximately 14 days. Security logs may remain for a longer limited rotation, and records needed for an active incident may be kept longer.
Audience statistics and Search Console performance data are retained locally while they are reasonably useful for comparing site trends and may be deleted during routine maintenance or if the related measurement is discontinued. Advertising providers determine the retention of data they process under their own published policies and consent settings.
Contact-form rate-limit records expire automatically within 15 minutes. Contact emails and attachments are deleted from the active mailbox within seven days of receipt. They may be kept longer only when reasonably necessary to resolve an open request, investigate abuse, protect legal rights, or comply with law. Residual copies may remain temporarily in provider-managed backups until overwritten.
Your choices and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, update, or delete personal information held about you, or object to certain uses. Send a request through the contact page or to the contact address. Information reasonably necessary to verify the person or request may be requested before action is taken.
Changes to this notice
This notice will be updated when advertising is activated or when public accounts or materially different data practices are introduced. The revision date will appear at the top.
